Sell audio directly. Get paid from the first listener.

SoundGate is a direct-to-fan audio distribution platform designed for musicians, podcasters, and independent audio creators. It enables creators to sell high-fidelity audio files—such as WAV and FLAC—without relying on streaming services, advertising revenue, or algorithmic discovery. The platform prioritizes creator autonomy by removing intermediaries and streamlining the path from upload to payment.
Unlike conventional audio platforms that emphasize audience growth before monetization, SoundGate supports immediate revenue generation from the first listener. It serves creators who value ownership of their distribution channels, transparency in earnings, and control over pricing and file quality.
Creators begin by uploading an audio file through the SoundGate interface. They specify a price, title, description, and optional metadata such as artist name and release date. Once published, the system generates a unique, shareable link that fans can use to purchase the file directly.
Upon purchase, fans receive immediate, secure access to download the audio file in the selected high-fidelity format. Payments are processed via Stripe, and creators receive payouts according to the platform’s standard settlement schedule. There are no listing fees, subscription costs, or revenue deductions beyond the stated 15% platform fee.
SoundGate is used by musicians selling studio-quality masters or limited-edition releases, podcasters offering ad-free bonus episodes or archival content, and sound designers distributing royalty-free field recordings or sample packs. Its direct-link model supports targeted promotions—such as email campaigns, social media posts, or live event handouts—without requiring fans to create accounts or navigate complex storefronts. The absence of algorithmic curation means creators retain full control over visibility, pricing, and customer relationships.
