No cloud. No account. No cost. Just encrypted passwords.

KeepKode is a local-only password manager designed for users who want full control over their credentials without relying on cloud services or accounts. It stores an encrypted vault directly in your browser, ensuring that no data is transmitted to remote servers.
The application uses AES-256 encryption with PBKDF2 key derivation and a zero-knowledge approach: the master password is never stored, and verification relies on a salted hash. It supports biometric unlock (Face ID / Touch ID, where supported), offers auto-lock after inactivity, and is available in six languages (EN, FR, ES, DE, IT, PT).
KeepKode runs in the browser and stores the encrypted vault in localStorage. Setup begins by creating a master password; no sign-up or server connection is required. Encryption uses AES-256, and keys are derived using PBKDF2 with 300,000 iterations. The master password itself is not stored; instead, a salted SHA-256 hash is used for verification.
During regular use, you add and organize credentials (e.g., websites, apps, banking, and social media) into folders. You can unlock the vault with biometrics where available, or with your master password. A one-click copy action allows quick retrieval of usernames and passwords, and an automatic lock engages after a period of inactivity.
To move data between devices, you export an encrypted file from one device and import it on another. This provides portability without background syncing or server-based storage.
KeepKode benefits users who prefer client-side security and do not want credentials transmitted to third parties. It is suitable for households and individuals managing Wi‑Fi, streaming, and personal accounts, as well as professionals who need to store work-related credentials without relying on cloud infrastructure. Privacy-focused users gain a local, offline-first workflow with manual, encrypted transfer when switching devices.
The combination of AES-256 encryption, PBKDF2 key stretching, zero-knowledge handling of the master password, biometric unlock, and lockout measures provides a robust baseline for protecting stored credentials. The app’s cross-platform availability and language support make it accessible on mobile and desktop environments.
