MusiPhi is a browser-based real-time audio visualization tool that generates geometric patterns synchronized with music. It combines principles of sacred geometry—such as the Flower of Life and Golden Spiral—with digital audio processing to create dynamic, interactive visual art. Designed for musicians, educators, visual artists, and enthusiasts of sound and geometry, MusiPhi requires no installation and runs entirely in modern web browsers.
The application supports multiple audio sources—including uploaded files and microphone/line-in input—and integrates deeply with MIDI controllers for expressive, real-time manipulation. Its interface balances accessibility for newcomers with advanced controls for experienced users, enabling both spontaneous experimentation and precise compositional work.
MusiPhi processes incoming audio in real time using Web Audio API to extract amplitude, frequency, and transient data. This analysis drives the animation and transformation of geometric shapes—adjusting size, rotation, morphing between polygonal forms (circle, square, hexagon, triangle), and modulating complexity based on musical dynamics. Users select a pattern type and configure its behavior through intuitive sliders and toggles, many of which support MIDI Learn for hardware integration.
The integrated synthesizer operates independently or in tandem with external audio, offering waveform selection (sine, triangle, square, saw), ADSR envelope controls, filter parameters, 4-band parametric EQ, noise generation, and harmony generation (off, perfect fifth, triad). The sequencer allows step-based composition with customizable tempo and timing variations. All visual and sonic parameters can be recorded, exported, or saved as presets for reproducible sessions.
